NJØRD is an A/V site-specific installation. Collaboration between WECOMEINPEACE artist Wilfried Della Rossa and composer Laurent Delforge a.k.a Squeaky Lobster. The installation is composed of approximatively 30 enlightened glass boxes and a quadriphonic surround sound system. Each of the boxes contains a choreography of floating feathers controlled by automated blowers.
The Installation was commissioned by “La Fete des lumieres de Lyon” [FR] and presented inside the town hall’s inner courtyard during the night.

About The Music :

The whole soundtrack was composed as an 4 independent channels ambiophonic piece. The spatial composition was made on location to ensure the most immersive sonic experience possible.

The soundtrack is a quiet soundscape following the floating movements of the feathers alongside the building illuminations. It was composed in an intricate creative process between the visual artists and the composer.
