SAT is an ephemeral, site-specific audiovisual installation that took place in the desert of Hebei, China, during the second edition of MTA Festival, a festival dedicated to digital art, music and technology.
It’s made of a hundred of controlled led light boxes disseminated around the dunes. The project is a collaboration between visual artist Romain Tardy, creative coding “hand-coded” crew and composer L.Delforge

About The Sound :

The sound composition is here conducted by an ableton live session controlled in OSC by an Home-made software analysing the amount of people connected to the network of the installation itself, triggerring audio and video sequences once the users amount reaches a defined threshold. Sound composition and structure might be therefore called interactive as the structure will always change depending on the amount of audience connected to it.
